Focus presented a fresh rating of “30 most successful stars of Ukrainian show-biz and sports”. This year, Klitschko brothers topped the rating for the first time.
Ukrainian show-biz and sport stars were rated based on the three criteria: revenues, attention of media and internet audience. Besides, when grading the celebrities, Focus considered also the number of rotations.

The interest of the audience for Klitschko brothers has always been strong. But one of the most expected fights of the decade (Vladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye) has drawn maximal attention of the audience. German media figured that this fight alone paid 5 to 16 million Euros. Besides, Klitschko’s victory made the biggest dream of the brothers come true: they have collected all champion’s belts in the super heavyweight category.

Ukrainian sports stars earn more money than show-biz stars. It is thanks in large part to the fact that athletes are successful both in the national and international arena. For example, according to Focus’s estimates, Anatoliy Timoschuk, half-back of Ukrainian national team and Bayern Munich (No.19), earned almost 4,5 million US dollars, while Andrey Shevchenko (No. 4) earned more than 3,2 million US dollars with Dynamo Kyiv. Timoschuk and Shevchenko, who earn fair wages in their football clubs, increased their revenues due to advertising contracts. As for Klitschko brothers, their income is more than 20 times higher than revenues of the singing duet Potap and Nastya Kamenskih.
